NEW NAMES ADDED TO STAR-STUDDED CHANNEL 4 COMEDY GALA LINE-UP – JON RICHARDSON, MIRANDA HART, WARWICK DAVIS, NINA CONTI AND DIVERSITY
More names have been added to the bill for Channel 4′s Comedy Gala Live At The 02 on Saturday 18th May. Already a packed line-up featuring many of the UK’s finest comedians, it can now be announced that joining the likes of Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre, Alan Carr, Rhod Gilbert and Jack Dee will be Jon Richardson, Miranda Hart, Warwick Davis and Nina Conti – plus a very special show-stopping performance from street dance phenomenons Diversity.

MICHAEL MCINTYRE PLAYS TO A SELL OUT 9,000 IN THE BIGGEST COMEDY SHOW TO DATE IN AFRICA
Michael McIntyre has played to a record breaking 9,000 fans at the Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday 20th April. This will be the biggest comedy show to date in Africa, having played two sell-out nights at the Grand West in Cape Town earlier in the week. He will also be playing the Sheikh Rashid Hall at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th June.

Back for a fourth year, the Channel 4 Comedy Gala in aid of Great Ormond St Hospital returns to The O2 on Saturday 18th May with an all star cast from the for the world of comedy.
Join Adam Hills, Alan Carr, Jack Dee, Jason Byrne, Jo Brand, Jonathan Ross, Josh Widdicombe, Kevin Bridges, Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre, Noel Fielding, Paddy McGuinness, Paul Chowdhry, Rhod Gilbert, Rich Hall, Seann Walsh and Tom Stade, with many more to be announced…
The show is to be recorded for Channel 4.

MICHAEL MCINTYRE TO PLAY SHOWS IN SOUTH AFRICA AND DUBAI
Michael McIntyre has announced an additional date in Cape Town at the Grand West on 18th April as 19th April is rapidly selling out. This is followed by a date at the Dome in Johannesburg on the 20th April. Tickets are available from Computicket. Michael then moves on to Dubai on the 8th June at the Sheikh Rashid Hall, Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Paul Tonkinson will be supporting in Dubai, and tickets go on sale from Done Events on Mon 25th March at 9:00am.
This is the fastest selling comedy ticket in South Africa, and the night in Johannesburg will be the biggest ever comedy show seen on the continent.

MICHAEL MCINTYRE’S DVD SHOWTIME NUMBER ONE ON CHRISTMAS DAY
The DVD Michael McIntyre – Showtime was number one on Christmas Day in the official UK Comedy Stand-Up Chart and finished the week with 65,090 sales, ahead of Mrs Brown’s Boys with 49,015 sales for the week leading up to Christmas Day and finishing on Saturday 29th December. Kevin Bridges – The Story Continues… climbs to number five with 27,093 sales, with Jon Richardson – Funny Magnet at number eleven with 9,205 sales closely followed by Dara O Brian – Craic Dealer at twelve with 7,950. Paul Chowdhry – What’s Happening White People? has climbed to twenty-one with 1,.549 sales. Sales figures are for the period Sunday 23rd until Saturday 29th December 2012.

MICHAEL MCINTYRE’S UK ARENA TOUR, SHOWTIME, HAS BEEN NOMINATED IN THE COMEDY SECTION OF THIS YEAR’S BILLBOARD TOURING AWARDS
Michael McIntyre‘s Showtime seventy-one date UK and Ireland Arena tour has been nominated in the comedy section of this year’s Billboard Touring Awards. The legendary American music industry magazine recognises tours from throughout the world over the last twelve months.

MICHAEL MCINTYRE ANNOUNCES A TENTH NIGHT AT THE LONDON o2 ARENA TO GO ON SALE THIS FRIDAY
Michael McIntyre is to play a tenth night at the London o2 Arena on Wednesday 3rd October, with tickets going on sale to the public from the o2 box office.
With a further six nights at Wembley Arena on November the 28th, 29th and 30th, plus December 1st, 2nd and 3rd, this brings Michael’s shows in London to sixteen.

C4 COMEDY GALA IN AID OF GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL AT THE LONDON O2 ARENA SELLS 7000 TICKETS ON THE OPENING DAY
The C4 Comedy Gala in aid of Great Ormond St Hospital sold over 7,000 tickets on its opening day of sale for the all star comedy event at the London o2 Arena on Friday 11th May (7:30pm show).

Michael McIntyre
Star of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Britain’s Got Talent and winner of the 2010 British Comedy Award for Best Male TV Comic.
Michael McIntyre’s spot on observational comedy and trademark ability to turn everyday situations into master-classes of human exasperation have struck chords with millions of fans, resolutely cementing him as one of the UK’s most loved and treasured comedy performers today.
He has released two best-selling DVDs; Live And Laughing, which currently holds the top spot as the biggest selling UK debut stand-up DVD, and Hello Wembley, which in 2009 became the fastest selling UK stand-up DVD of all time. Live & Laughing and Hello Wembley have sold a staggering combined total of 2,500,000 copies. In November 2010 he also released the best-selling stand-up box set, Michael McIntyre: The Complete Collection. A DVD of the 2012 arena tour will be released by Universal Pictures (UK) November 2012.
Michael has had an exceptional two years. Highlights include writing his first autobiography Life & Laughing, released in Oct 2010 by Penguin Books and selling over 360,000 copies as the Christmas number one and one of the best-selling non-fiction books of the year. Hosting the 2010 Royal Variety Performance in front of HRH Prince Charles, a 54 date sell out arena tour in 2009 playing to over 500,000 people including six nights at Wembley Arena plus four at the O2.
2012 will see Michael return to the road with his biggest arena tour to date taking in 58 dates all over the UK and Ireland.
