‘One minute lewd, the next blimpish, he is always one step wide of insult and one ahead of expectation’The Financial Times
Jeremy Hardy is one of the UK's foremost and respected stand-up comedians. His live work has included Just 4 Laughs, (Montreal Comedy Festival), the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where he won the prestigious Perrier Award and numerous sell out tours of the UK and Ireland.
Jeremy is now an essential member of BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz and is a regular guest on I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue and Just a Minute.
News just in...
On tour autumn 2008 Jeremy's live show could be called an extravaganza were it not for the fact that nothing happens. He comes on, talks for a while and then goes off again. He doesn't walk about. He doesn't even take the microphone out of the stand. In fact "show" is a bit of an overstatement. But he does say quite a lot, most of it coherent. And he means well, which is the main thing.
Jeremy’s perhaps best remembered as a younger man, but there is nothing he can do about that now. Still alive and able to speak for lengthy periods, this will not be so much a one-man show as an under-staffed cavalcade.
New book out, spring 2009
Watch out for Jeremy's new book, to be published by Ebury Press in spring 2009. It's part family memoir, part enquiry into the world of genealogy and part comic adventure.
