Phill Jupitus is a man of many talents. The longest-serving member of the Never Mind the Buzzcocks team, one-time host of 6Music's breakfast show, playwrite and performer, actor (Phill made his West End debut in May 2008 in Nick Reed's Lifecoach) as well as football pundit for The Times.
Phil also regularly appears on QI (BBC2) and I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue (BBC Radio 4).
In 2007, Phill was back on stage at the Edinburgh Fringe with Waiting for Alice, co-written and performed with Andre Vincent
As writers, Jupitus and Vincent have focused on the conundrums so beloved of Carroll and Beckett - both mischievous masters of the philosophical absurd. As performers, they masterfully match up to each other as the agoraphobic autistics who somehow manage to preserve some shred of dignity. The Stage
Phill's love of music extends well beyond his appearances in Buzzcocks and DJing on 6Music. Every now and then Phill plays with The Blockheads. His last outing with Ian Dury's band was in 2007 to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary.
Phill joined Never Mind the Buzzcocks in 1996 as team captain. He's still there in 2008.
